SparkPublish
A personal, self-hosted publishing tool by sekiriously.
SparkPublish runs only on its operator's own Mac. It takes finished videos and images that the operator made, shows a preview of each post, and publishes it to the operator's own accounts only after the operator confirms that exact preview. It is not a hosted service: there is no sign-up, no server and no other users.
What it does with YouTube
- Uploads a video the operator approved to the operator's own YouTube channel, with the title, description, tags and visibility shown in the preview (uploads start as private).
- Reads the connected channel's identity, so a video can never go to the wrong channel, and reads back the uploaded video's status to confirm the result.
It uses the YouTube Data API with two permissions: youtube.upload and youtube.readonly.
It does not read, change or delete anything else in the Google account.
Privacy
Google sign-in tokens stay in the macOS Keychain on the operator's Mac and are never sent anywhere except to Google. Details: Privacy Policy.
