Privacy Policy
SparkPublish · effective October 14, 2026
SparkPublish is a personal, self-hosted publishing tool operated by sekiriously. It runs only on the operator's own Mac and publishes the operator's own content to the operator's own accounts. This policy explains what data it handles, in particular data received from Google APIs.
Data accessed from Google
When the operator connects a YouTube channel, SparkPublish requests two Google OAuth scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload— to upload videos the operator has approved;https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly— to read the connected channel's ID and name, and the status of videos it uploaded.
It does not access Gmail, contacts, Drive, analytics, comments, subscribers or any other Google data.
How the data is used
- The channel ID and name are used only to check that an upload goes to the channel the operator chose.
- Upload and status calls are used only to publish the operator's approved video and to confirm the result (for example, that it was uploaded as private with the approved title).
- Nothing is used for advertising, profiling, analytics or training of AI or machine-learning models.
Storage and security
- Google OAuth tokens and the OAuth client secret are stored in the macOS Keychain on the operator's Mac.
- Records of uploads (video ID, URL, status) are stored in a local database on the same Mac.
- SparkPublish has no server. No Google user data is sent to the developer or to any third party; it is sent only to Google's own APIs, over HTTPS.
Sharing
Google user data is not sold, shared, transferred or disclosed to anyone.
Limited Use
SparkPublish's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
- Tokens are kept until the operator disconnects the channel or revokes access.
- Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; revoked tokens stop working immediately.
- Deleting the Keychain items and SparkPublish's local data folder removes all stored data.
Other platforms
SparkPublish can also publish to the operator's own accounts on other platforms. The same principles apply: credentials stay in the operator's Keychain, and content goes only to the platform the operator chose, after the operator confirms the preview.
